The Slim and Nel Bowling Invitational

Slim and Nel were kind enough to open up their house to us hooligans while continuing their bowling extravaganza tradition.  This year we did a little beer tasting with everyone bringing something delicious to drink.  Slim and Nel put out a great spread and then after all had their fill we marched in the cold to Memory Lanes for more drinks and bowling.  Thanks everyone!

Jessop & Jen’s Engagement Session

Laura and I will most definitely be looking forward to when we get to shoot our friends Jessop and Jen’s wedding next July. It’s always fun to shoot a wedding when you will know a bunch of people who will be in attendance and you already have a connection with the bride and groom so you just know the day will turn out fabulous. A few weeks ago we got together to do their engagement session in Saint Anthony Main. I had such a nice time shooting I don’t even think I minded the parking ticket I got. Gotta check those meters!

Old Highway 8

After having a few drinks the night before I was half tempted to just stay in my nice warm bed this morning but I got up the courage and got my gear together to shoot some of our local riders hitting a local dirt jump spot. Even though I was only able to be there for a short while I’m glad I did as the turn out was great and I had fun shooting my first ever dirt jumping. I’m looking forward to hitting up this location again especially because it is right near one of my favorite brew pubs. Not to mention I’d like to fine tune my skills at shooting this stuff 🙂

Thanks for the good times guys!

Kate & Mike: Wedding

Laura and I had a lot of fun shooting Mike and Kate’s wedding. For most of the day we had storm clouds looming over our heads which kept us running to stay dry but when it came time for photos of just Mike and Kate together someone got the hint and the clouds parted for just long enough for us to be outside.

Mike and Kate, thank you for allowing Laura and I to be a part of your day. It was beautiful in so many ways and we really felt like we were a part of the wedding not just as your photographers but as guests as well.

Theo x 2 x 3

The planets must have been in alignment as Slim, Andy, and I all found ourselves with a free Friday afternoon to get back out to Theodore Wirth Park. Slim and I having been out for a ride there this past Monday we got to show Andy around for his first visit to the trails. I’ve been burying my nose in my computer for the last few weeks working on a few different weddings so it really felt good to get out again and just clear the brain of anything computer related and just hear the sound of my tires zipping over the dirt trails.

I decided to bring along my point and shoot and it wasn’t long before I realized how much easier it is to take photos with a real camera as the shutter lag on my point and shoot is quite long. Anyway a few photos to share at least!
