24 Hours of Afton

My friend Ben and I volunteered to photograph the 24 Hours of Afton this year to help support our local mountain bike club.  I think the whole day went off as quite a sucess and I had a lot of fun.  Even came up with some good photographs that hopefully a few will buy 🙂   The Stillwater Gazette was out covering the event and they asked if they could use one of my photos so here are the few that I picked out quick to send them for Monday’s edition.

A Romp on the Trails

Scott and Lucy

I’ve been taking Lucy mountain biking this year at Salem Hills mountain bike trails in Inver Grove Heights. It’s a great trail because it allows dogs to be off leash, only runs in one direction, and is not as heavily used as other parks.

I wasn’t completely positive how Lucy would behave around my bicycle but from the first time out she dropped right in line and loves to hug my rear wheel. Just need to work on building up her strength so that she can go more than one lap.

In with the new, out with the old.

Surly 1x1

On-One Gimp

I haven’t been riding my little blue dirt jumper very much so I decided to switch things up and get myself a singlespeed cross country ride. Went from thinking about it, to checking ebay, to finding a sweet little deal, making a bid and it’s mine.

The Gimp has founds its way to Ebay as well and by the way things are looking it should be owned by someone else by the end of the week. Its a great little bike but I think I’m getting old!

Now I need to find a suspension fork for the Surly and get out and take some fun photographs of it.
