Being a Winona State alumni I get the occasional email from the alumni staff telling me of upcoming events taking place in the Twin Cities area. I had yet to go to one but when they said that they were having a pre-game social at Sweeney’s, a bar I frequent regularly anyway, I decided it was time to check one out. Also having shot my fair share of Winona State basketball games while in school I thought it would be a good reason to bring the camera along and try my hand at shooting the game. I can’t remember the last time I photographed a basketball game so it was fun to get back into the action.

They crushed. I wonder if they will have what it takes to make it back to the national championship again this year. I believe they are ranked number four in the country right now and they have to be driven to make up for last year.
