DIY: Build your own light box

This past weekend I set out on a mission to build my own light box. Following the directions listed by Bill Huber on his website the whole project will not set you back more than 15 dollars. Instead of gluing my pieces of PVC together I decided to run bunjee cords throughout so that I could dissasemble the box for stograge (much like a camping tent pole).

In other news we also received our first sample of the proofbooks that we will be offering. The books are 11×14″ and have a spiral binding and includes a photographic cover. I think they look really sharp and would be a great way of showing all the photos from ones wedding.

Artcrank – The opening!

Saturday night five hundred cyclist and art enthusiasts crowded into the small One on One art gallery for the first Artcrank Poster Show. The night was a huge success with everyone I talked to having a great time. Beer was drank, food was consumed, and most importantly the posters were seen and lot’s of them were purchased!

I dragged the camera along to take a couple of grab shots, click the next page for more.

One well fed doggy

Last night while Laura and I were out of the house for a meeting our mischief maker Lucy was able to get into the room we’ve been storing the food for our new puppy. Well she seemed to help herself to as much as she could handle because when we got home her stomache looked to have expanded to twice its size. Fearing a common occurence in deep chested dogs call bloat we called the emergency vet and they recommended bringing her in.

A short drive to the vet and we got her an x-ray. It was definitely something to be concerned about but not so much that they felt she needed to stay the night. So we took our poor swollen bellied dog home and she appears to be doing better today.

The large vertical football shape is her stomach. If it had expanded to about two more vertebrae back she would have been looking to be in pretty rough shape.
