There’s some really nice shots in there. Thanks man!

Peter -

this is excellent. thanks.

sopheava -

Fantastic shots from the show. I had family in town this weekend and had to miss it (still bitter about that ;). Your shots are the first I’ve seen that really show the mood and energy of the place. Super awesome!!

Thanks for sharing them :).

Greg, Pete, and Sopheava,

Thanks for the comments! It was a fun concert, though I wish it would have been longer 🙂 I tried not to focus to much on the camera but more or less enjoy the music more than anything. I’m looking forward to working on doing some more slide shows for different concerts in the future.

Greetings! I’m actually posting the photos, finally. I’d love any and all critiques on these  🙂 – Laura Jen through a grate Serious Jen Jen smiles. Feet Joe, minus eyeglasses The glasses Scott Soft Scott Jen again   Hiiiiiii-yaH! We are photographers.

Hey Laura! I like your set of images, but since you asked for critique… #2 & #3 show a bit of difference in temperature with #2 being a little cool compared to #3. The images of Scott and Scott (#7 & #8) are a bit soft. Probably a little slow on the shutter for the focal length you were at. I really like #10 of Jenn and #12 of Joe. Count me in on shooting with you guys in Stillwater!

Joe -

I like the post on some of these. I agree with Dan that Scott and Soft Scott could have used a bit more shutter speed. Personally, I like the differing color temps – they offer a different mood to the images.
What did you do for the Hi-yah picture? – looks like it was probably blurry and out of focus, but the post processing perhaps gave something useful and fun.

I’ve been meaning to get around to posting a recap of the Artcrank poster show for awhile now.  This years show was another great success.  They stopped counting people at 835, but conservative estimates of the total attendance go up to about 1,000. Five posters sold out on opening night. And more are headed that way.  […]

More Photobooth stuff!

Laura and I joined eight other talented photographers from the area to get together to talk shop, have lunch, take some photos of each other, learn new techniques and just generally get to know some new photographers. We had a lot of fun getting to know everyone and are looking forward to a future meet-up. […]

Photos of people, or anything that moves just elude me. Those are all well done!

christina -

Nice!
I really need to stop sticking my tongue out at the camera–but it did give me a great laugh today. 🙂
Great job on the rest of the shots! It makes me bummed I missed the rest of the day… 🙁
It was great to meet you both!

Thanks Dave and Christina.

Christina, it was great getting to know you. There was talk of having a mid season get together as well so it would be fun to do it again. I can’t really ever pass up chances to talk shop and drink beer.

Dave, does anyone related to you still live out on Square Lake? Laura and I rode our bikes from Mahtomedi out to Marine and back on Sunday and the route we took back had us climbing up past the Palmer’s old house and Tommy D’s folks place.

Daniel Snow -

Good stuff, Scott! It was nice meeting you and Laura. You two are really fun & talented, keep up the good work!

Dave Trampe -

Yup. 🙂 My dad’s place is immediately west of the old Palmer residence, ending at the top of the gentle hill at the apex of the corner by the apple trees. Do Tom’s folks still live in the same place? Sounds like a fantastic ride – Riding in the city is irritates me – with the stopping and starting.

scott -

Yep Tom’s folks still live there. I was out there last year as we photographed his younger sister’s wedding. Riding out in the “country” is a nice change. We went with a group of riders and our ride leader really had a great route that had us going all over the place. Since I spent a lot time working in that area of the county (used to mow the sides of the roads on a tractor for the public works department in high school) it was fun to ride by a lot of places where I used to stop for lunch 🙂

Joe -

Wicked good times. I must have missed this the first time it came around. Keep having fun, I think your sense of fun comes through in your images…. well, the fact that your wicked talented probably helps too. 😉
What blog software is this – I’m just starting mine and I’m looking for something good.

The first official mountain bike trail is open in Minnesota. I took the dogs to work and then met up with Pete Ryan afterwards for a few laps. The trails were in great shape with only one twenty foot section that was still muddy. Now if the temps would just warm up a bit more […]

It is always amazing how much this time of year can resemble November. Looks like a fun ride though!

Becca -

dude you totally missed The Office – I made brownies…don’t worry, they won’t go to waste!

scott -

I know I felt really terrible when I realized that when I got home. I totally got on a one track mindset yesterday morning and was all about getting a ride in that evening. I got home and Laura told me and I was like ahh man. I’ll have to get caught up online. A brownie sounds really really good right now.

Laura -

As scott knows, i was really jealous. Sorry, becca, for the confusion on the evening 🙁 lh

Becca -

I’m glad both of you weren’t dead somewhere on the side of the road…feel the guilt trip a la “mom” coming out? 🙂 We’ll do it again sometime soon – this time with you guys and brownies.
